Upgrade of a Q-Exactive System

University of Turku

The University of Turku is looking to upgrade from a Q-Exactive Hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap mass spectrometer (Thermo Scientific) to a Q-Exactive HF Hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap mass spectrometer to match the recently installed Q Exactive HF. UTU needs to have 2 identical instruments in order to be able to run large scale projects in a reasonable time frame. UTU intends to exchange a Q-Exactive (installed 2016) and an LTQ Orbitrap Velos Pro ETD (installed 2010) for a Q-Exactive HF that has either been kept under a full service contract or has been refurbished with original manufacturers parts. Specifications of the trade-in instruments are listed in Appendix 1.

Presentation of the existing systems:

The Contracting Authority organises an open presentation of the existing systems to all possible Tenderers. The purpose of the presentation is to give opportunity to observe any factors that might have significant or less significant role for Tenderers in making their offers. The presentation shall take place at the Turku Centre for Biotechnology in Turku, Finland 20.9.2018 starting at 11:00 local time. Participation is not mandatory but the Tenderers are to take notice that the existing systems are to be accepted as is. Participants shall inform of their intentions to attend, and the number of participating persons, by email to procurement@utu.fi at latest 17.9.2018. Any questions arising out of, or during presentation and concerning the existing systems shall be made and answered via the Supplier Portal.
