The Molecular Plant Biology lab, Department of Life Technologies, University of Turku has an intend to purchase an isotope ratio mass spectrometer to setup a membrane-inlet mass spectrometer (MIMS). It will consist of a custom-made cuvette and an inlet vacuum system combined with a mass spectrometer.
MIMS will be used for monitoring simultaneously real-time gas-exchange in aqueous solutions for different isotopes (Ar, N2, O2 and CO2).
