Aalto-yliopisto (jäljempänä Tilaaja) on käynnistänyt hankkeen Otaniemen kampuksella sijaitsevan, Alvar Aallon suunnitteleman rakennuksen muuttamiseksi moderniksi ja energiatehokkaaksi datakeskukseksi. Hankkeen tulee olla valmis ja käytössä viimeistään 28.2.2027. Rakennuksen peruskorjauksesta vastaa Aalto-yliopistokiinteistöt Oy. Turun Seudun Energiantuotanto Oy builds a new combined heat and power unit (NA4) in an existing power plant area, where the company already owns three coal-fired power and CHP blocks (NA1, NA2 and NA3). Energy production of the new unit is based on wood- and agro-originated biomass, peat and coal. The CHP unit's nominal production rate will be 200 MWDH district heat and 50 MWth steam for industrial consumers from steam turbine extractions.
