Imatran Lämpö Oy, district heating company owned by City of Imatra, is producing district heat and distributing district heat and gas at City of Imatra.
Imatran Lämpö Oy is starting cooperation with Stora Enso Oyj to utilise heat of forest industry wastewater heat (~45 degC) in district heating (DH). A water-to-water heat pump (HP) plant of 12… 15 MWth is being planned. The plant will be remote operated at the Kaukopää pulp mill wastewater treatment area, where the heat of settled pulp mill wastewater is led to the HP plant.
Natural Refrigerant Heat Pump Plant of Wastewater Heat Recovery System consisting of the full process delivery of equivalent amount of units for producing district heating (80…90°C) at variable DH load of 5…15 MWth. The max number of heat pumps could be eight (8) units if it is beneficial (unit = compressor unit). The even number of units also enables the series connection. The heat pumps could be operated as pairs and it will result better COP and higher DH supply temperature.
All supplies shall contain the necessary auxiliary equipment with piping instrumentation, electrification and cabling (cabling from terminal boxes to control panel) of full operating plant excluding the main pipe work and the civil works, commissioned and the test run completed and ready for commercial operation on the Client's site.
The process delivery of the plant with auxiliary systems shall include at least but not limited to the following:
- complete design of the process, design documents, instructions etc. in the scope of supply
- dimensions, load and process information for designing the civil constructions and foundations
- units and auxiliary with complete connections with all necessary materials and installations (assembly, painting and thermal insulation, welded fittings are in preference to flanged connections wherever possible)
- complete protection systems including refrigerant leak detection and purge scrubber when NH3 as refrigerant (OPTION)
- control, indication and measurement equipment with instrumentation and supervision system with all necessary functions, auxiliaries, and accessories
- motor line equipment including necessary cubicles and terminal boxes with all necessary auxiliaries and accessories
- protective line side surge arresters and capacitors with all necessary auxiliaries and accessories
- parts in contact with process waste water shall be corrosion resistant and capable to handle wood fiber and resin (designed for repeated cleaning)
- factory tests and site tests of supplied equipment, separate list of tests shall be submitted with the tender
- all necessary special tools needed for installation, erection, maintenance etc. of equipment and systems shall be included in the delivery, separate list shall be submitted with the tender
- spare parts according to Supplier’s recommendation and maintenance schedules for operation of 2 years (+ 5 years OPTION) to be listed with unit prices with the tender
- maintenance contract of 2 years (+ 5 years OPTION) according to manufacturer maintenance schedule. Schedule shall be presented in detail in the tender
- training of Client's staff
