The Department of Laser Material Processing and Additive Manufacturing in LUT University is looking for a new laser welding system for the research work in the field of e-mobility applications. The new welding system should be capable of performing joining work for normally challenging materials like copper and aluminum. New variable beam profiles can tackle some of the earlier challenges related to these materials. The laser system should have a core fiber and ring fiber(s), where you adjust independently the power of each areas thus creating different beam profiles. The laser power source should work in continuous wave (CW) mode and minimum total power should be 6kW. The offer should include laser source, delivery and processing optics, also other relevant components and softwares that are needed to form a complete working laser welding system. Additional features and components (e.g. monitoring ) that are not requested can be listed as options. System is placed in our existing laser safe work station.
