Concept Design and Promotional Material of the Science Exhibition of the Arctic Centre

The target of the acquisition is a concept design and promotional material of the new science exhibition of the Arctic Centre.
The contractor (the successful tenderer) is expected to:
1) conceptualize and visualize the new science based permanent exhibition of the Arctic Centre according to a set of requirements described in the tender dossier;
2) propose alternative technical solutions that would support the implementation of the concept design according to a set of requirements described in the tender dossier;
3) produce visual and promotional materials of the concept design to approach possible funders and sponsors.
The tasks are expected to be carried out in very close cooperation with the main exhibition team and the work is carried out under the supervision of the exhibition designer. The tasks are also broken down in different steps including several rounds of consultation between the parties as described in the tender dossier.
The exhibition is located in the Arktikum house in Rovaniemi, Finland and its surface is approx. 1 000 m.
The expected deliverable is a complete concept design including the optional technical solutions in the format of a ‘recipe book’ as well as a set of visual materials including a brochure and leaflet of the concept design, a visual and electronic presentation of the concept to be addressed to funders and sponsors.

Arvioitu kokonaisarvo: 70 000 EUR 💰
Lyhyt kuvaus:

The main objective is to conceptualize the interior design, and the furnishings and exhibition elements/stations of the exhibition space. By furnishings it is meant showcases, exhibition panel systems and exhibit elements.

The aim is to design a new science based permanent exhibition of which visual as well as general durability (materials and equipment) will last for long period of time (+ 10 years).

The result to be achieved is the delivery of a ‘exhibition recipe book’ of the concept design and visual and promotional materials that can be used as marketing tool as well as to approach sponsors and funders.

The concept design ‘recipe book’ must include:

1) a set of drawings that will demonstrate a visual concept and all the necessary instructions for the implementation of the interior design, the furnishings and exhibition elements/stations of the exhibition space. Drawings should include indications on the materials that should be used;

2) graphical instructions including the colors codes, the fonts and any other related graphical elements that will serve as guidelines for other companies producing the exhibit elements, panels and stations;

3) possible technical solutions for exhibition elements/stations, showcasing content and text as well as other possible immersive technical solutions.

The visual and promotional materials must include:

1) a visual presentation of the concept;

2) couple of different types of two-page flyers;

3) one 4-8-page brochure.

Details of the materials will be agreed between the exhibition team and the contractor in their first meeting.
