Åbo Akademi University (ÅAU) is looking for an electron beam thin film deposition system integrated into a glovebox with inert atmosphere. The system will be used for multilayer film fabrication of contacts and substrates for organic transistors, solar cells, sensors and bio-electronic components. The samples are usually a few cm but multiple samples are evaporated simultaneously. Multi-layer films are prepared by evaporation through shadow masks without breaking the vacuum. Noble metals such as gold and platinum but also chromium and titanium, to facilitate proper adhesion to the substrate, will be evaporated. The film thickness is measured during the evaporation. The evaporation needs to be carried out with the vacuum chamber in inert atmosphere, to protect the underlying materials from coming in contact with oxygen and humidity when breaking the vacuum. The evaporator needs therefor to be fitted into a glove box. The inside of the evaporator needs to be accessible both from inside the glove box and from the outside for maintenance and non-sensitive evaporation. In order for the system to be expanded with more units in the future the glove box must be fitted with a large t-shaped antechamber. ÅAU will not accept tenders that do not fulfill all of the mandatory requirements or deviate from the instructions given in the procurement documents in some other way. ÅAU will choose one (1) supplier with whom ÅAU authority will sign an agreement.
