Rolls-Royce Avon 1533-75L fuel system retrofit for Kristiinankaupunki reserve power plant

Fingrid Oyj

Fingrid is operating 16 Rolls Royce Avon 1533-75L diesel #2 fuelled gas generators in twin pack configuration for grid stability reserve duty. In order to extend the service life and improve the reliability and availability of these installations the high pressure fuel delivery systems of these gas generators are to be modified by replacing them with heavy duty industrial equipment. This purchase will cover four (4) of these gas generators (two twin pack units). The twelve (12) remaining units shall be included as an option.
Preliminary proposed scope of delivery, to be finalized during the negotiated process:
— design of high pressure fuel system modification,
— removal of original fuel system components to be replaced,
— eventual modification and blanking of engines systems and piping,
— manufacturing and delivery of fuel pumps, modulating valves, control devices and valves and other equipment and piping to complete a fully functional system,
— installation and testing of delivered units and systems,
— training and introduction of operators for use of new hp fuel system,
— cold and hot testing of modified installation including adjustment of safe fuel flow for all necessary transient and static conditions including start and shut down and trip/emergency situations,
— operation and maintenance documentation of new hp fuel system.
The supplier is also encouraged to propose other recommendable Avon system retrofits in this conjunction as an option. Examples of these are Variable Inlet Guide Vane (VIGV) and start bleed valves actuation and position indication and exhaust gas thermocouple and harness system that all are found to be maintenance intensive objects.

Taloudellinen ja rahoituksellinen asema:

— Evidences for having payed the taxes and social charges as required by the law,

— audited Financial Statements of the Company for the last 3 years.

1. Revenue of the company during the last three financial periods shall be at least 3 000 000 EUR (three million euros).

2. During the last financial period the equity ratio of the company shall be at least 20 %.

3. In addition, at least two of the following three (2 / 3) requirements shall be reached:

3.1. during the last 3 financial periods the operating profit of the company shall be positive;

3.2. on the balance sheet of the company for the last financial period the Shareholders' Equity shall be at least 5 % of the Company´s Revenue;

3.3. during the last financial period the Quick ratio of the company shall be 0,5 or higher.

Tekninen ja ammatillinen pätevyys:

The supplier shall provide a detailed list of minimum three reference deliveries where the supplier has designed, delivered and commissioned high pressure fuel delivery systems. These reference installation details and descriptions shall include: site designation and type, 5...50 MW power range, hp fuel spray manifold with primary and secondary flow and flow divider, month and year of commissioning of the application.
