To renew Yle News and Current Affairs (NCA) studios, Yle is arranging a bidding competition as a negotiation procedure to procure the needed studio production technologies and the related services such as the installations, integrations etc. The studios are in Helsinki, Finland.
With this invitation to participate Yle is asking suitable candidates to apply for the bidding competition and negotiations. Yle is looking for experienced candidates that can deliver flexible, reliable and easily modified platforms.
Yle will choose all candidates fulfilling the suitability criteria described in the ESPD to the negotiation phase. One or more negotiation rounds will be held starting from autumn 2022 and as a result of the procurement procedure one company will be chosen as a contracting supplier.

With this invitation to participate Yle is asking suitable candidates to apply for the bidding competition and negotiations. Yle is looking for experienced candidates that can deliver flexible, reliable and easily modified platforms.

Yle will choose all candidates fulfilling the suitability criteria described in the ESPD to the negotiation phase. One or more negotiation rounds will be held starting from autumn 2022 and as a result of the procurement procedure one company will be chosen as a contracting supplier.

Yle is looking for an integrator who is capable of managing project lead, delivery of technology and the technical installations and integrations.

The integrator will be responsible for implementing the technology for the NCA studios and the control rooms and the integrations as part of Yle’s production infrastructure. The architecture of the new build must be based on SDI and SMPTE 2110 technologies. The network used for the SMPTE 2110 is implemented on the Yle managed media network.

After the commissioning of the delivery, Yle may purchase development resources for additional 3 to 4 years. These can be for example development cycles for the platform, transitions to IP and interfaces to Yle’s broadcast environment.
