HUS Group (thereinafter also "HUS" or "Procuring Entity") calls for tenders for Prefilled Formalin Containers for biopsy, tissue and stool specimen for HUS and HUSLAB.
The safety for operators using Prefilled Formalin Safetycontainers must be guaranteed and exposuring to formalin vapor must be prevented by structural properties of Containers. Exposuring must be prevented, for example, with a closed system or a pressure-based solution.
Parallel tenders are accepted. Procuring Entity encourages tenderer to submit parallel tenders should they have more than one safetycontainer product available.
As a result of this procurement HUS selects two (2) suppliers in order of priority with whom it shall sign a contract. Procuring Entity will order and use selected products according to the order of priority described in the future procurement decision. However, Procuring Entity may deviate from order of priority if the selection of Supplier does not contain the product required by Procuring Entity, Suppier has delivery difficulties, Supplier is unable to perform in accordance with the contract, the contract with Supplier has been terminated prematurely and/or if the need of Procuring Entity otherwise requires it.
The supply period is estimated to begin in 2023. The contract is in force for a fixed period of 24 months and thereafter until terminated.

According to the Section 125 of Act on Public Procurement and Concession Contracts (1397/2016) a procurement procedure may only be suspended for a real and legitimate reason.
Procuring Entity has suspended the procurement and will submit new procurement notice for publication. Due to the upcoming eForms-changes, the aim of Procuring Entity has been to extend the deadline for submitting tenders from September 1, 2023 to September 15, 2023. Deadline for submitting tenders could not have been September 1, 2023 as Hilma (https://www.hankintailmoitukset.fi) is closed between September 1, 2023 and September 4, 2023 due upcoming eForms-changes. However, TED (Tenders Electronic Daily) rejected the notification regarding to the extension of the deadline on August 28, 2023. After rejection it was no loger technically possible to extend the deadline. Since it was no longer possible to extend the deadline, the procurement was suspended. The situation is arising from circumstances beyond the control of the Procuring Entity. A real and legitimate reason proper to the Section 125 of Act on Public Procurement and Concession Contracts exists.
