The Renovation Project of Big Stage Refurbishment

Helsinki City Theatre will be renovating the big stage’s engineering equipment and mechanical systems (referred also as “Renovation” or “Repair Project”). The scope of the contract is the execution of the refurbishment, including the needed equipment and materials for the renovation (hereinafter referred to “Delivery”). Design and supervision of the Renovation is not in the scope of this procurement. Following refurbishment works are included to the Renovation. —Replacement of 33 No. powered counterweight assist hoists with new direct lift hoists including replanning of the grid and construction of a hoist mezzanine to accommodate the additional equipment and access for maintenance —Provision of 22 No. new moveable point hoists —Provision of a new cyclorama lighting hoist —Replacement of all variable speed drives across the overstage installations (102 axes) and understage installations (9 axes) —New control system including central server, control outlets and control desks —Strip out of all redundant mechanical and electrical equipment —Remedial works to grid floor More detailed description of the Repair Project can be found in the Invitation to Tender and in its annexes.

Helsinki City Theatre (the Client) may decide to order and buy support and maintenance services after the warranty period has ended wit the maintenance Agreement. The maintenance Agreement is an option on the procurement process on Renovation Project of Big Stage Refurbishment. The Client is not obligated to enter into the Agreement on these Services. The Client will decide about the use of the option for each year (year 4-10) separately and annually. Hence, there are all together seven (7) one (1) year options on support and maintenance.

Vaadittavat vakuudet ja takuut:
During Renovation The Contractor is obliged to place a security in the form of a bank guarantee for the benefit of the Client in order to secure an advance payment and contractual obligations of the Renovation. The security shall be placed before the Contractor is paid any part of the Contract and no later than 21 days after the Contract is signed. If not otherwise agreed, the amount of bank guarantee shall be 20 % of the total Contract price excluding VAT. The security must be valid for at least three (3) months once the period for Repair Project has ended. Should the Repair Project be delayed, the Contractor shall extend the validity of the security until the Repair Project has been approved. During the guarantee period The Contractor is obligated to place a security in the form of a bank guarantee for the benefit of the Client in order to secure the obligations of the guarantee period. The amount of bank guarantee shall be 5 % of the total Contract price excluding VAT. The Contractor shall place the security once the installation has been approved and before the validity of the security for the advance payment and contractual obligations expires. The security for the guarantee period must be valid for at least three (3) months once the period of guarantee has terminated. The securities shall be returned immediately after the Contractor has fulfilled all his obligations covered by the security.
