Yle is going to renew its Long Form Video Production Systems and is therefore procuring the needed the video processing environment of Long form productions.
With this invitation to participate Yle is asking suitable candidates to apply for the bidding competition and negotiations. The target of the competitive negotiation procedure is to define and specify optimal solutions to fulfill the needs of Yle. The possible solution includes a production platform and pre- and post-production tools.
Two or more negotiation rounds will be held starting from autumn 2022 and as a result of the procurement procedure one company will be chosen as a contracting supplier.

The possible solution includes a production platform and pre- and post-production tools.

The video processing environment will change dramatically in the coming years. Location-independent work is growing significantly in the future. The amount of co-production is also growing. It can be seen that people want editing tools that are more suitable for different productions. To meet the future needs of users, a modern video processing environment (including both production platform and editing tools) for long form productions is needed.

The object of the procurement is (all or some of the following):

- A centralised, flexible, reliable and easily modified production platform for long-form video productions including production media asset management

- Professional tools and applications, that meet the needs of post-production professionals of video and audio editing, and colour grading

- Easy and approachable tools and workflows that meet the needs of non-post-production professionals. Enabling Journalists to create finalised publishable content in the system

- Integration services (including the construction of integrations to and from the surrounding systems)

- Maintenance services as SaaS and/or PaaS

- Continuous development that takes into account Yle’s needs

- Necessary expert services

Further details about the object of procurement and the description of competitive negotiated procurement procedure are described appendix 1 of this invitation to participate.
