Fingrid Oyj, the Finnish national transmission system operator, is initiating a procurement process for 20 kV 50 Mvar capacitor banks with the intended deliveries in 2024 to four substations in various locations in Finland.
With this prequalification (short PQ) Fingrid is looking for capable and interested suppliers of capacitor banks and reactors. In our operating model, the network of service and goods suppliers and good co-operation with suppliers are especially important. We require our contractual partners who supply us with services or goods to be aware of Fingrid’s significant social duty and to commit to responsibility for the economic, social and environmental effects of their operations.
The delivery consists tentatively of 14 pieces 20 kV 50 Mvar shunt capacitor banks with damping reactors. The delivery includes all components needed for fully functional capacitor bank as capacitor units, racks, insulators, conductors, capacitor unbalance current transformers, support structures and pedestals. Unloading of the deliveries is included in the scope of delivery.
Fingrid will design and install foundations and secondary systems for the banks and will install the delivered capacitor banks.

Spare parts with the first delivery to the central warehouse.
Fingrid will send the tender documents, including detailed information on the scope and contents of the contract, schedule, specifications, requirements, award criteria etc., only to the qualified tenderers, tentatively in November 2022.
