Procurement of document Examination Equipment

The Finnish Border Guard (FBG) is procuring document examination and analysis equipment.
The procurement comprises products in two categories:
Category I equipment refers to document examination and analysis equipment used by well trained and experienced document examiners at forensic laboratory level. The number of units procured is two (2).
Category II equipment refers to document examination and analysis equipment used by experienced and trained staff at Finnish border crossing points and consulates abroad. The number of units procured is five (5) with the possibility to purchase five (5) additional units within the next three years of the signature of the contract.
The document examination arrangements in the Finnish Border Guard have been done in accordance with the applicable EU recommendations. The purpose of this procurement is to renew the existing equipment and purchase additional equipment for border crossing points.
The procurement also includes partial installation and training of the equipment.
Maintenance services are additional options and FBG has the right to keep this options open.
