The instrument to be purchased is a femtosecond pulsed laser system for academic research purposes. The instrument shall include a femtosecond pulsed laser source at mJ energy range and 1 MHz repetition range. The pulse duration and repetition frequency shall be selectable by the user. The instrument shall also include Optical Parametric Amplifier (OPA) and Second Harmonic Generator (SHG).

Single box amplified titanium-sapphire femtosecond laser system for pumping several independent measurement stations at minimally 1 kHz repetition rate. Laser output will be splitted to four independent measurement stations in energy ratios 1.2 mJ, 1.2 mJ, 1.2 mJ and remaining power (> 1.2 mJ). Measurement stations will use fundamental laser radiation for pumping OPAs and NOPAs, and for a second/third harmonic generation and white light generation.

Widely tunable ultrafast laser system for multiphoton imaging, such as stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) and coherent anti-Stokes Raman Scattering (CARS). The system should provide two synchronised high power pulsed laser beams. One that is fixed and one that is tunable such that the system provides a Raman shift range of at least 400-4000 cm-1. An additional spectral focusing unit, which allows timing and combination of the two laser beams, plus spectral focusing for Raman spectroscopy.
