Procurement of Car carrier coaches

VR-Yhtymä Oyj / VR Group Plc (hereinafter also the "purchaser" or "contracting entity" or "VR") starts with this procurement notification and related invitation to participate a procurement procedure for the procurement of Car carrier coaches to be used on railways.
The object of the procurement is the purchase of eight (8) Car carrier coaches with an additional option for the purchase of further thirty (30) Car carrier coaches. The object of procurement covers also spare parts, training, documentation and other deliverables related to the Car carrier coaches according to the specifications to be defined during the procurement procedure. All requirements for the Car carrier coaches and other deliverables as well as the contract terms will be defined during the procurement procedure. Final requirements will be presented in the final invitation to tender.
The procurement will be carried out by means of negotiated procedure. The Finnish Act on Procurements and Concession Contracts of Entities Operating in the Water and Energy Supply, Transport and Postal Services Sector 1398/2016 (later also 'Act on Public Contracts in the Utilities sector') applies to the procurement.
Candidates must fulfill all suitability requirements set in this document and its appendices in order to be able to be qualified as a tenderer to the procurement procedure. All candidates fulfilling the suitability requirements will be selected as tenderers to the procurement procedure.
All requirements of the procurement shall be specified during the procurement procedure.

All requirements of the procurement shall be specified during the procurement procedure.
The quantities to be procured as follows:
- Eight (8) Car carrier coaches for railways.
- An option for the purchase of further thirty (30) optional Car carrier coaches for railways. VR reserves the right to divide the option into several option orders.
Procurement also covers:
- Spare parts, special tools, documentation, training and other deliverables as specified in more detail during the procurement procedure.
In addition, VR has a right but not an obligation to order electric vehicle chargers for the Car carrier coaches as optional technical feature defined in more detail during the procurement procedure.
Please see also description of the procurement above and attached short specification. The object of procurement is specified during the procurement procedure and the final object of procurement and its requirements shall be described in the final invitation to tender.

Kesto: 42 kuukautta
Uudistusten kuvaus:
The duration 42 months is based on VR`s estimate for the delivery time of eight (8) Car carrier coaches. If option for the purchase of 30 optional Car carrier coaches is used VR's estimate for the delivery time of all coaches is 150 months. Please note that these estimates cover only the delivery times of the coaches. Warranty and other obligations may continue after these time periods.
