Finland, with over 100 partner companies, is one of over 190 nations participating in the first World Expo in the Middle East, Expo 2020 Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.
Expo 2020 is expected to attract 25 million visits, with 70 per cent of visitors projected to come from outside the UAE. www.expo2020dubai.ae
Business Finland is responsible for the practical arrangements for the Expo 2020 participation. This procurement is for the exhibition construction and fit out.
The procurement consists of the whole construction process of the exhibition and fit out including all the necessary equipment and works required to achieve the following positions (POS 1-4) according to the design of the finnish exhibition package:
• POS 1: exhibition architecture: production, installment and dismantling;
• POS 2: LED screen including control system, no installment;
• POS 3: AV and rigging: equipment;
• POS 4: AV and rigging: installment and dismantling works.

The offer includes the production, installment and dismantling of elements specified in the exhibition architecture package. The offer must point out if the material in the tender is the specified material from the documents/drawings, or is the offered material an equivalent substitute. A substitute material´s specification must be included for approval.

The metal construction of the exhibition furniture along the long exhibition space walls is designed to be modular and easily installable. Only a few slots have exception structures, and their revisions will be provided during the tender open time, time allowing. Please pay attention to the document Notes for exhibition fit out technical documents for architecture package revisions, as well as the markings in the documents.

The shop entity — consisting of shelves and movable sell points/display furniture — follows the exhibition style and materials. The monitor screens belong to POS 3 and not to be offered in POS 1. However, the shelving led lights belong to POS 1 as an exception. The elements of the Shop should be identifiable in the cost breakdown as understandable entities (no need of listing minor details like attachment fixtures etc.).

Especially if POS 3 and/or POS 4 would come from different providers, business Finland and providers in question will mutually coordinate the correctness of the delivery and the delivery timescale. (POS 3 includes lights, audio and displays for POS 1, and POS 4 by default includes the installment of lights, sound devices and displays also to the exhibit furniture, because of their connection to AV control system.) The coordination between the selected provider and the pavilion main contractor will be organized by Business Finland, to ensure flexible work on site.

The offer includes the technical equipment entity of the specified large LED screen system (main video) including all needed fixtures and the control system, delivered to Finland Pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai. See Notes for exhibition fit out technical documents for exclusions in POS 2, and AV package documents. In case of rental, the information considering the returning terms shall be included.

The offer includes all technical AV and rigging equipment needed for completing the public exhibition setup. The definitions, layouts, plans and reference lists are included in the AV and rigging package. The equipment is for the visitor queuing area, Exhibition 1 (entrance) and Exhibition 3 (inside main exhibition). The inner yard (the Gorge, aka. Exhibition 3) is excluded. Some exclusions are mentioned in the notes for exhibition fit out technical documents as well in the actual AV and rigging documents. The POS 2 is offered as delivered to Finland Pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai. In case of rental, the information considering the returning terms shall be included.

The offer includes all AV and rigging installment and dismantling work as in the AV and rigging package plans. The exclusions (e.g. the Gorge, Exhibition 2 area) are mentioned in the documents. If some or all for POS 1-3 would come from different providers, Business Finland and providers in question will mutually coordinate the correctness of the delivery and the delivery timescale to Pavilion premises.

(For example, if the selected table display monitor type in POS 3 would be other type than specified in the tender, and the construction of the display table in POS 1 comes yet from another provider, the integration must be cross checked under the supervision of Business Finland, and between POS1 and POS4 providers' key persons).

The coordination between the selected provider and the pavilion main contractor will be organized by Business Finland, to ensure flexible work on site.
