Aim of the procurement is to enable Veikkaus to rebuild and combine its sales services into its own new sales application, which shall be implemented into around 1 000 — 5 000 new point of sale terminals. So, Veikkaus is looking for around 5 000 new sales terminals and peripherals and their life cycle services. These life cycle services are divided in two categories: device services and Services for software development.

Veikkaus will replace its existing three (3) sales terminals with a new one. In addition an important fact of Veikkaus' sales renewal is that the amount of POS is decreasing and that is why Veikkaus intends to purchase approximately 1 000 — 5 000 sales terminals. Veikkaus will commit to purchasing 1 000 sales terminals based on this procurement procedure. All other indications of purchase volumes are only estimations and shall not be considered obliging for Veikkaus. Veikkaus rebuilds and combines its POS sales services into its own Electron sales application (TAPPI), which shall be implemented into new terminals. Veikkaus is looking for new sustainable and operational gaming sales terminals and peripherals and their management SaaS, and services through point of sales' devices' and services' whole life cycle. An important business goal for Veikkaus is to buy devices always with supporting services for Veikkaus' software development and other experts. By this EU wide procurement Veikkaus wants to build a longer-term contract and partnership for its POS sales' constant improvement and innovations. Kesto: 48 kuukautta
Uudistusten kuvaus:

The term of the procurement agreement is fixed 48 months after which the procurement agreement will automatically continue with a non-fixed-term with the possibility for both parties to terminate the agreement with a notice of termination (9 and 12 months respectively).

Phrasing of Cell E6 is changed from ‘TMS SaaS shall be interoperable; via Internet, TMS API for terminals' (‘call-in’) connections, data and management, or via VPN/Direct connect MPLS for Veikkaus' single sign on users (LDAP)’ to ‘Data communications encryption shall be used in communication between TMS and terminal (TLS/HTTPS or VPN technology, like IPSEC tunnelling).’ Phrasing of the current and previous row 22 is amended to state ‘CPU load’ instead of the previous phrasing ‘load’. Previous row 23 is removed due to having the same content as the previous and current row 22. Veikkaus Oy has decided to suspend wholly the tendering procedure concerning gaming point of sale terminals’ and applications’ life cycle services. Board of Veikkaus has decided to update Veikkaus' strategy last week and the means of implementation regarding responsible gaming and identified gaming. Due to the state-owners' intent the lottery legislation will also be under scrutiny. All of this may affect the technical requirements and schedule of implementations of sales terminals and their lifecycle services.
