A tender is requested for one (1) free-fall cone penetrometer and winch system. Minimum requirements:

Free-fall cone penetrometer:

— Capable of measuring geotechnical parameters during intrusion in underwater sediment layers,

— Capable of a few meters penetration and measurement in soft organic-rich mud,

— Capable of a few decimetres penetration and measurement in stiff glacial clay, sand and till,

— Survives impact to hard substrate such as exposed crystalline bedrock or boulder;

— Measured parameters:

— Undrained shear strength, measurement range 0 — 1 MPa with 1 % accuracy,

— Dynamic cone penetration resistance, measurement range 0 — 2 MPa with 1 % accuracy,

— Depth below sea surface (pressure), measurement range 0 — 3000 bar with 0.01 % accuracy;

— High vertical sampling resolution (1 cm),

— Maximum weight 30 kg,

— Maximum length 220 cm,

— Self-logging with sufficient internal memory,

— Windows software for programming, data offload and data analysis,

— Recommendation for a suitable laptop computer,

— All necessary accessories (such as data cables, power cords, batteries, tools and parts) required for the operation of the instrument shall be included.

Free-fall winch:

— Sufficient winch speed to follow the falling trajectory of the free-fall cone penetrometer,

— Minimum cable length 200 m,

— Maximum weight 350 kg,

— Maximum electric power 400 VAC, three-phase, 16 A,

— Weather proof controls (heavy rain, temperature range –20 to +40°C),

— All necessary accessories (such as power cords, tools and parts) required for the operation of the instrument shall be included.

The tender shall include technical specification and description of the object of the tender. Photographs of the object may be attached to the tender.

Documentation

All technical manuals describing the use and maintenance of the product and the provided software shall be delivered together with the product. All documentation shall be in English.

Training

Basic training for 1-2 days on the use and maintenance of the offered product shall be provided to GTK personnel. The exact date(s) of the training shall be agreed between GTK and the supplier. Training should take place during the first half of 2018. The training shall be in English.

2 training options:

The training shall take place at GTK Espoo, Finland, (max. 5 pers.).

Supplier 1 person.

After sales services

After sales services should be included for a period equal to the warranty period (see section 3.3.).

The after sales services shall include at least expert support given by e-mail or telephone on the use and maintenance of the product and its software.

A full description of after sales services shall be included in the tender.

The contract begins when the contract has been duly signed and is valid until all duties under the contract has been executed.

3.3. Terms of contract

If the ITT and its appendices does not prescribe otherwise, the public contract will comply with the General terms of public procurement in supply contracts (JYSE 2014 Supplies) (referred as Appendix 2).

The period of warranty after acceptance shall be at least 24 months.
