Finavia requests tenders for supplying EU Standard Explosive Detection Systems (EDS) with adequate Image Servers, Workstations, Interfaces, Spare Parts and Design & Engineering work needed to be used to screen hold baggage.
The equipment to the BHS extension will be installed during the autumn 2018.
When equipment have to be on location and when ready to be integrated into the BHS is depending on manufacturer who will be selected to supply the BHS.
Replacement of existing EDS equipment will start in January 2019 and it is estimated that the replacement will take one year. Because existing equipment are installed below ground level, construction works will start in autumn 2018. That means that Supplier has to be able to support the project from the beginning of 2018.

Puitejärjestelyn perustelut:
The deadline to start to screen hold baggage using EU standard 3 EDS is 1.9.2020 and with exceptional permit 1.1.2022. Finavia will start to install new equipment and update the existing system 2018. This renovation / extension project is estimated to last till 2024.
