Renewal of district heat exchangers in Joensuu Power Plant

Fortum Power and Heat Oy

Fortum Power and Heat Oy is planning to renew a district heat exchangers to 199 MW (fuel) CHP Power Plant in Joensuu, Finland. Power plant delivers district heat to city of Joensuu. In Joensuu Power Plant there is a two straight tube model district heat exchangers, which maximum capacity is 120 MW. District heat water is in tube side and maximum operating values are 16 bar and 130 °C. In shell-side heat transfer medium is low pressure steam that is coming from steam turbine, maximum operating values are -1.3 bar and 300 °C. Purpose of renewal is change tube groups including other inner components or totally replace the present district heat exchangers. The present district heat exchangers is commissioned year 1986 and they have had several tube leakages.
Delivery will be turn-key delivery. Delivery includes design, manufacture, disassembly, assembly and commissioning of the repaired district heat exchangers.

Investment has no decision of execution yet and the final decision will be made based on profitability calculation on basis of the offers we now receive.

Company's financial position can't hold any risks which might jeopardize the delivery. Following requirements need to be fullfilled:

1. turn over from the last fiscal year need to be minimum 3 000 000 EUR,

2. combined financial result from the last 2 consecutive fiscal years need to be positive, and

3. debt ratio (total liabilities/total assets) not to exceed 80 %.

Company's annual report 2013 and 2014 to be delivered in application.
