Fuel Handling System for special solid bio fuel (horse manure)
Fortum Power and Heat Oy is starting a project to use horse manure as partial fuel in the Power Plant of Järvenpää, Finland. For this we need a Fuel Handling System which scope includes 200 m³ silo for horse manure fuel storing, conveyors and screws capacity of 5-50 m³/h needed for fuel feeding, and included also needed accessories such as instruments and electric motors. Installation and commissioning is also in supplier's scope. On purchaser's responsibility stays civil works, electrification and automation connection to Plant's main DCS system. Closer specification and delivery limits will be defined in the Purchase Request.
As horse manure use for power plant fuel is unique, a familiarity to special solid fuels handling is required from the supplier.
Preliminary schedule of the tendering and projecting will be:
— Tender to be released in the mid of Oct 2015,
— Submitting the offer in mid of Nov 2015,
— Negotiations and contract to be sign in Nov-Dec 2015,
— Preliminary start-up of the system would be in June 2016 but timetable can be negotiated.

Offer request will be delivered to Suppliers which will be pre-qualified based on their applications. Suppliers which have given competitive offer will be asked for further negotiations.
