Evaluation of Finnish Aid for Trade 2012-2015
Aid for Trade (AFT) is a generic term for development cooperation that aims to strengthen developing countries' productive capacity and ability to engage in foreign trade in order to achieve sustainable economic development and reduce poverty. The objective of AFT is the eradication of extreme poverty and securing a life of human dignity and its scope has been mutually agreed by the OECD.
Finland's first Action Plan for AFT was evaluated in 2011 and the second Action Plan 2012-2015 was built on the recommendations of that evaluation. Now it is time to evaluate the second Action Plan together with the whole concept of Finnsh AFT.
