A Fluorescence-activated cell sorting device

The Aalto University Foundation, operating as Aalto University (business ID 2228357-4) invites tenders for a fluorescence-activated cell sorting device (hereinafter referred to as ‘FCS’).
We seek a complete turn-key, stand-alone FCS device capable of high-speed and sensitivity sorting of cells, bacteria and synthetic materials, including for example polymersomes, nanoparticles and other colloidal objects. Key techniques include analysis from a flow of fluid that streams through a beam of light where the system records how the cell or particle scatters incident laser light and emits fluorescence. Expected outcomes are cell/particle counting, single particle sorting based on particle's relative size, granularity or internal complexity, and relative fluorescence intensity. FCS shall have a software both for the FCS system control and for acquiring and interpreting the experimental data.
The subject of the contract is delivery and installation of the FCS, including hardware and software, and also training for a minimum of two (2) persons and an acceptance test.

Vaihtoehtojen kuvaus:
A training of for two (2) persons
at tenderers premises within 1-12 months from the date of acceptance shall be included. Travels and accommodation shall be on customer's response. The duration of the training shall be no more than five (5) days but must contain at least 30 hours of active training. The training shall have both theory and hands-on parts and shall be targeted for advanced users. The price of this second part of training shall be given but not included to the tender.

Auto-sampler.
If applicable, the FCS shall have as an option an auto-sampler which:
— supports at least 96-well and 384-well plates and deep-well plates
— has automated wash cycles between and after the samples, carry-over shall be less than 0,5 %
— has the possibility for mixing of samples to avoid precipitation and coagulation of samples in que
— has temperature control with range from +4 to +37 Celsius degrees
— is fully controllable with FCS software.

Prepayments are negotiable; however a bank guarantee or parent company guarantee of 115 % of prepayment value is required. The cost of such bank guarantee shall not be included to the tender. The cost, if any, will be agreed at the time of order.
The payment term is net 30 days after the arrival of an acceptable invoice to the purchaser.
