Media streaming and sharing service
The consortium, consisting of 4 educational institutes, intends to purchase a video portal service that is designed for capturing, storing and distributing streaming video and audio by different methods, for each participating institute.
The aim is to reach a long term agreement for full service with a partner, that is able to offer data management, data archive, file distribution, guaranteed capacity rate, deployment, system maintenance and user/host guidance.
Users of this service are the staff, students and partners (e.g. visiting lecturers and the staff of affiliated units/group companies) of the participants. Service will be used for distance learning, training, learning feedback, information and communication, event recording and as a video/audio library.
