Implementation of the Energy and Environment Partnership Programme in Mekong region - EEP Mekong, Phase II

The Consultancy Services for implementation of the Energy and Environment Partnership Programme - EEP Mekong in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar,Thailand and Vietnam.
The EEP Mekong started in 2009 and in the third quarter of 2014 the programme will start its second phase for four years.
Altogether 39 project developers have received partial grant-based funding for feasibility studies, pilot and demonstration projects with the intention that the grants catalyze further public and private financing in renewable energy and energy efficiency investments in the region. Currently seven projects are implemented, and 32 projects have been finished.
During the next phase, the EEP funding mechanism will be further developed into a Result-Based Financing instrument that provides incentive payments, on the basis of results achieved, to businesses and other project developers/implementers that deliver pre-specified outputs within the sustainable energy access sector.
New Calls for proposals will be organized to select projects that have a large number of beneficiaries and have also sufficient own funding.

Vaihtoehtojen kuvaus:

The MFA reserves a right for a contract of additional services for up to two years from the same service provider amounting up to a maximum of 1 000 000 EUR. The option is reserved to continue the implementation and will be defined after the Mid-Term evaluation. Any extension of the contract will be subject to satisfactory performance by the contractor.
