Technical Assistance to support the implementation of Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Western Nepal, Completion Phase (RWSSP-WN II)

The Technical Assistance (TA) will support the executing agencies in the implementation of the Copletion Phase of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Western Nepal. TA is directed to all three result areas of the programme: Open Defecation Free (ODF) sustained at individual, household and public level; well-functioning water schemes managed by inclusive WUSCs addressing equitability and providing safe domestic water to all users; and strengthend institutional capacity of government bodies to plan, coordinate, support and monitor the Water users' and Sanitation Committees (WUSC) and other community groups in the implementation, operation and maintenance of domestic water, sanitation and hygiene programmes in a self-sustainable manner.
The Finnish contribution to be channelled through the TA contractor is maximum Euro 5 000 000 and will consist of TA and TA related costs as well as TA contingency. Value of the TA component subject to the tender is max. Euro 1 760 000 excluding VAT. In addition, the MFA reserves a right for a contract of additional services from the same service provider for the maximum amount of 15 person months of unallocated international short term experts and/or an unallocated amount of national TA person months not exceeding the length of the initial contract and amounting up to a maximum of one million euros.
