Economic and Financial time series database

The Bank of Finland intends to procure an access to an economic and financial time series database for approximately 21 designated users' workstations and for ad-hoc joint use in two separate workstations.
The database will be used for acquiring macroeconomic and financial markets data. Therefore, it should cover global macroeconomic data on GDP, inflation, employment, financial markets data on stock prices, interest rates and government bonds prices. The world's main economic areas should be covered.
The Mandatory databases which the service provider shall be included in to the service are:
Service provider's database (macro and financial data; based for example on national data sources);
IMF database;
OECD database;
Eurostat dabase
World Bank.
And the databases which shall be for benefical for the tenderer are:
Markit (PMI indices; total; sub indices);
Consensus Economics (G7 and Western Europe; Asia Pacific).
The users search, retrieve and edit the data for monitoring, analysis and forecasting.
The data or analysis of the data may be used in BoF publications and in BoF internet web site.
The service should include a user friendly interface to the database. It should provide rich functionalities, e.g. search, retrieve and export. There should be a possibility to create charts, create chart templates, adjust chart properties (colors, chart types, axes, etc) and make simple transformations of time series (e.g. percentage changes) easily. In addition, there should be a possibility to operate in the Excel environment (an Excel add-in).
