The possibility to acquire both instruments from a same vendor is considered beneficial from the training, service, management and maintenance points of view. When the vendor offers two complete systems in bundle with a single price, also prices for separate systems must be included.

The systems will be operated by users with a large variety of GC–MS experience. Therefore, simple and user friendly operation of both systems is required. The instruments are intended to be used for both qualitative and quantitative GC–MS and GC–MS/MS analysis of small organic molecules, including synthesis products, natural products as well as chemical warfare agents and their degradation products (MW below 1000 amu) in difficult matrices such as sediments and biomedical samples. The instruments will be used as routine research analysis tools by university researchers, graduate and post-graduate students as well as in international training events.
